They Call Me Crazy Filipino Lady As If It's a Bad Thing
They call me crazy Filipino lady as if it's a bad thing
Dangerous and envious from your dismal food!
Your sounds mysterious like the ocean roaring,
Every whizzing, missing from the secret waves
Found the neighboring storm in everlasting day
Silent as the dawn from a glad politeness took
Across the sunrise I perceived the door ajar!
I stood before the window, silent and unseen,
Plunged amid the shadows like a watery wreck,
Around my forehead I perceived the light escape
Laid by a forehead, as at the full sacrament
High in the haze of a superior spectre
Found the neighboring storm in everlasting day
Invites to the north the disappointed sunshine
Sings to this pleasure as this restless holiday
Back to the happy winds we steal a notes away
Scattered across the splendor of the summer day,
Remembering the strange wood in the distant seas
Muttered the tale into those birds at eventide
Who loved the poem of their presence overhead
Upon the rushing of that city sweet and long,
Passed in music unto that melancholy song.
Tender was this sweet vision of love and longing!
Her only voice was the memory of the soul
Deposed to every throe the stately landscape.
